About
TreeHouse is a cultural institution and inclusive community hub, responsive to the growing rhythms of culture in India. Holding space for creativity to flourish, fostering spaces for collective learning and gathering. The flagship studio is nested in the heart of Indiranagar, Bangalore. A space to collectively co-create grassroots creative culture in Bangalore. At Treehouse we host, listen, and care for the people, practices, and communities that sustain cultural life in Bangalore.
Our location, our neighbourhood, its histories and possible futures inform every aspect of our work – this includes building community and elevating the work of artists, creative practitioners, educators and organisers.
In our building, we house a social space, artist in residence space, exhibition space, and library, a community cinema and many programmes, events, and workshops.
We work towards redefining the role of art during periods of social change and the role of art in processes of change and transformation in a neighbourhood. Through this, we are building community, reframing creative conversations, and modeling a community we wish to see and be a part of.
